What is Slip Grip?

Slip Grip is a clear liquid treatment designed to reduce slipping on tiled, paved and concrete floors particularly when they are wet. It is suitable for ceramic, glazed or unglazed, mosaic, quarry or terrazzo tiles, pavers and unpainted or unsealed concrete.

How does it work?

Slip Grip microscopically increases the roughness of the surface, giving it grip. The change is not visible to the naked eye, but some surfaces may become a little dull. A test patch is recommended to check that any change in surface appearance is acceptable.

Is it effective?

A test patch is recommended to check the effectiveness of Slip Grip on your specific surface. Slide a wet, scrunched-up paper towel from the untreated to the treated section of your surface. There should be a noticeable 'grip' in the treated area.

Slip Grip has been tested by CSIRO Manufacturing & Infrastructure Technology. Wet Pendulum Test AS/NZS 4586: 1999. A full report is available at the CPC offices.

Application

Slip Grip is easy to use. Apply with a brush or mop in three coats, waiting 3-4 minutes between each coat. Do not allow the surface to dry after each of the three coats. Rinse after the third coat. The surface is immediately ready to walk upon when finished.

Locations

Slip Grip is most suitable for bathrooms, pool surrounds, entry foyers and patios. The product may be used internally and externally and is not affected by ultraviolet light.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning with household detergents is all that is required. The increased grip wears away at about the same rate as the original surface. Worn surfaces may be retreated with Slip Grip.

Coverage

One litre covers approximately 10 square metres.
