Shower Plug is a heavy-duty, clear brush-on solution using breakthrough sealant technology that waterproofs tiles and grout in showers. It penetrates the substrate and chemically bonds with it, to form an invisible water-repellant barrier that lasts 10 years. Shower Plug is a penetrant - its protection cannot be worn away under normal use as may happen with waterproofers that merely seal the surface like a film.

Why Showers Leak

1. Tiles and grout are not always waterproof.
2. Failure of the underlying membrane - the Building Code requires showers to be lined with a waterproof membrane under the tiles. A tiny puncture or tear can allow water to seep in, leading to structural damage.

• Rotting floorboards, skirting and door jambs
• Peeling and flaking paint in adjacent rooms and on the ceiling below

Application

1. Fix any broken grout with regular superfine grout. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
2. Brush Shower Plug onto the shower walls, wait 18 hours and the shower will be ready for use.
3. If the building is prone to movement, it is advisable to apply a silicone strip between the wall and floor joint after applying Shower Plug.
